Connaught Place is considered to be the heart of Delhi, from street shopping to high end dining, it has it all. From years people have been going there to gorge some amazing food, be it with huge families or some close friends. And the last couple of months have seen a sudden stream of restaurants and cafes in the area, giving us a world of options to choose from. These new entrants in the market have been the game changers with their unique ambience, variety of dishes and a mixture of flavours.

Here we present to you, some of our new favourites which you must-try, if you haven’t already.

1. Tamasha

With a perfect ambience to sit in, Tamasha offers a variety of cuisines from Indian to Middle Eastern to Classic Continental, you name it they have it. Some of its must try dishes include Paneer 65 Bao, Tandoori Chicken Salad and so on.

2. Cafe OMG

With the theme of Heaven and Hell and some amazing music to add to the ambience, this cafe is the newest of the lot in CP. Some of our favourites here include the Hummus Platter and the Chocolate Mint Shake.

3. Teddy Boy

Teddy Boy brings out the best of the forgotten Edwardian era while keeping the Indian-ness alive in its food.

These dishes here are in our must-try list, which you should also give a shot: Keema Patties, Prawn Schezwan and Chocolate Golgappa.

4. Odeon Social

Social has always been our favourite and its new edition at CP makes us go back to the old school days with typewriters on each table and boards bearing names of students. Though its menu is pretty much the same as Hauz Khas Social and Def Col Social but we definitely love this place for its ambience.

5. Farzi Cafe

Farzi Cafe with its amazing gastronomic delights opened up in CP recently. Some of our favourite dishes here are: Bailey’s lollipops, Meat Macaroni and Cheese Balls and Khandvi Spheres.

6. HotMess

HotMess has recently come up in the lanes of CP and is a melange of rustic and modern interiors with a splash of colour. The menu has a vast variety of dishes from Salads to Spicy Indian Mains. Some of the must-try items here include: Chur Chur Pizza and Nacho Pencho.

7. Cafe Hawkers

This cafe truly justifies its hawkers theme. With quirky interiors and dishes with special hawkers effect, this place is became our instant favourite. Some of the must-try dishes here include: Risotto Rice Balls with Tomato, Sukha mutton Parantha and Achari Culet Slider.
