Mouthwatering halwa recipe
Full fat milk
Wash the carrots, peel and grate.
Take a kadhai and combine milk with grated carrots.
Keep on low to medium flame, bring the whole mixture to a boil and then simmer. Keep on stirring occasionally.
Milk will start evaporating. When milk reduces by 75%, add ghee, sugar and powdered cardamom. Stir frequently and continue to simmer and cook on a low flame.
When all milk has evaporated, add cashewnuts, saffron & raisins and remove from flame.
Serve the halwa hot, warm or cold.
