Yellow Moong Dal
Soak yellow moong dal in water for 3 hours. Drain the water and grind in a mixer to a coarse paste (don’t use water). Keep aside.
Dissolve saffron strands in 1 tbsp of warm milk & set aside.
Heat ghee in a kadhai. Add dal paste and cook on medium flame for 25 min. Keep stirring continuously.
Add 1 cup warm milk and warm water, mix well. Stir continuously and cook on medium flame for 7-8 min.
Add sugar, mix well and cook for 3 min. Keep stirring continuously.
Add the saffron-milk mixture & cardamom powder. Mix well and cook for 1 min (don’t stop stirring)
Remove from flame & garnish with almond silvers before serving.
